The writing seminar.

Alexander Doepel

For over 40 years, I’ve crafted a wide array of written works, from reports and screenplays to non-fiction and advertising copy, including business reports, letters and speeches – everything but literature. I’ve had the privilege of learning from excellent teachers and exemplary role models. I understand both the pleasures and the difficulties of writing. During my time as a newspaper journalist, I learnt to conquer the fear of a blank page, even under tight deadlines. Today, I believe I know every trick in the book when it comes to tackling writing challenges.

I started writing in 1980 as a business journalist. I later transitioned to advertising, where I occupied copywriting roles and eventually became a creative director. In the 1990s, I co-founded an agency focused on capital market communications. By 2003, I was a founding partner of a consultancy firm and held positions on the management and supervisory boards of a real estate company. Throughout these roles, writing remained a constant. There was always something important to communicate.
